Dr. Rachel Ng
Dr. Rachel Ng completed a Bachelor of Science from McMaster University followed by a Doctor of Optometry from the University of Waterloo.
Dr. Ng had the privilege of training in Pinellas Park, Florida under top optometrists and ophthalmologists for her clinical clerkship. There she extensively trained in ocular disease management such as cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration and dry eye disease.
She has a passion for Indigenous health and providing eye care awareness in northern Ontario communities after having the opportunity to serve the pediatric population in Wiikwemkoong and other reserves in northern townships. She has worked with the Canadian National Institute for the Blind providing eye care in rural communities in Ontario. She is a firm believer that access to care should always be a priority.
Dr. Ng practices full-scope optometry and welcomes patients of all ages and demographics. She is passionate about building trusting relationship with her patients in order to provide specific treatments and solutions to suite their lifestyle. She believes prevention is the best medicine and recommends regular examination for all ages.
Dr. Ng is a member of the Ontario College of Optometrists, the Ontario Association of Optometrists and the Canadian Association of Optometrists.
In her spare time, Dr. Ng is an avid audio bookworm who likes psychology, calligraphy and earl grey tea.
